That is rather technical compared to my simple one but I like it.

@ HeuHen: I like your design; your modular system does have a lot of utility for SEAL/commando operations.

In Ula class they have a hatch where the RHIB for the Norwegian commando is stored, ready for use. I used that idea in a bigger scale.

Finally, as the ship was design only within an hour, I changed a bit my mind concerning the technical data:
As this ship is supposed to be built very simply and as, according to the challenge rules, able to go deep is not required, it is now working only on diesel engine ( a 1200hsp salvaged from old mining truck) with a schnorchel.
It remain a twin hull even if I thought about making it a single one (keeping simplicity in mind).
The hull is black because of a thick rubber painting to increase waterproofing.
For the schnorchel i was thinking of a flexible on, who would be connected with a floater enabling it to be quite longer than a standard one.
Do you think it’s a completely silly idea?

I will develop the story of this ship in a AU thread.

Hmm, waritem, I don't understand how you reload your torpedo tubes when they're ouside the pressure hull. It also doesn't appear that you have any sensors (i.e.--periscopes, sonars, radars, etc.). Also, I don't think you have nearly enough space dedicated to batteries. Even the most modern conventional subs have HUGE batteries for better endurance. As a very simple submarine, your design would probably work, but as a warship, I don't think it would.

I believe his intention was to do it on the surface/in port. Though I concur with the batteries issue you raised.

Yes, the intention was to reload torpedo tubes on the surface.

As it's almost Handcrafted, it use only basic sensor (no radar, no sonar....etc). it rely on external information to find it's prey (spy in departure port give the ships route and departure time)

The batteries are just for electric device. the ship is propelled only on diesel (with the schnorchel).
It can go deep to hide for a short time but only using ballast (with electric pump) without being able to move .

It's technically outdated, to be effective it need that its foe absolutly don't expect even it's existance.
