APDAF, the torpedo tubes can be curved/rounded, for better hydrodynamics, as well as your control surfaces.

Hopefully, taking into account the lessons learned on the first try, this corrects most, if not all the problems. I'll probably tinker with the sail a bit more, though. I will point out that the dome is larger than the actual sonar to allow room for growth and perhaps some other stuff in there.

Bronies are like the Forsworn. Everyone agrees that they are a problem but nobody wants to expend the energy rooting them out.

While not as bad as Obsydian Shade's I think you're going to have many of the same problems.
Most acutely, because of the big sonar the TT room will stretch so far back that you'll have torpedoes in your command room.
Additionally they're so low that they're likely to interfere with the battery installation.
Thanks for the input Thiel, I didnt consider that, as for how low the tubes are, the US SSKs have them about at that height, but I will double check.

First design from me.

[ img ] 8 tubes (533mm), modular silo aft of the sail/fin for either missiles, UAVs, special forces or the like... Retractable thruster forward and fixed tunnel thruster aft. The gun on the sail is an XM188 (or any other <30mm gun) on a retractable telescoping mount. Also the UAV depicted is a AeroVironment Puma capable of loitering for near enough nine hours whilst reporting back to the parent vessel. There is also (illustrated at least) IDAS which although I can see mounting in two of the eight tubes also being used in the silo. 12 weapons are carried in addition to those in the tubes usually being a mix of DP torps and AShMs. Propulsion is from an MTU V16 delivering ~2000kW as well as eight 40kW fuel cells. From my point of view I see some of the weapons on here being replaced with my AU contemporaries...
