Allright, the next one will be Haki then, i've also found an english-romaji dictionary/translator in order to translate names getting them in western/pronunciation form instead of the Kanji; i think i can translate anything i want now, altough i have already the names for all Koko's battleships.

Also, updated Sagami's drawing, added a single catapult on stern centerline and a floatplane, this means she is complete now.

Working on Haki.

An enlarged and modified Sagami, implementing more reverse-engiinering upgrades from South Dakota, like the straight bulbous bow.
She is 279 meters long sports one more triple 409/52-gun turret, a different layout of 127/54 DP twins (for a total of twenty) and a large AA suite of 40 and 20mm machine guns; i still need to put the aircraft handling crane, enlarge the rudder, place the catapults on the stern (she has 2 instead of 1 like Sagami) and check if i can put some boats on the empty deck aft of the funnel or more AA guns.
Still need to refine things a bit, but she should come out like a Montana capable of a whopping 32 knots (at least that's what springsharp says).
A never-built even in koko's AU tough, she ends up beign bombed on the slipway as i wrote in the previous page.

About how big is the Haki? Considering it's armament and mentioned speed it would be VERY large if it has comparable armour.
Also, reading through your earlier posts, I noticed you said the Naval Battleship Prefix is Koko Senkan. I' not sure, but I think it should be Koko No Senkan(Means more or less literally "Battleship of Koko"). If we are to be really nit-picky, it should perhaps even be called Koko Kaigun No Senkan/junyōkan/kuchikukan(Battleship/Cruiser/Destroyer of Koko's Navy's ) "No" is a particle which marks possesion, in this case similar to the english "of" and German "von". In Koko Kaigun the "No" would be omitted, since it was in the IJN(Nippon Kaigun).
I don't know how much Japanese you know, so you may of cource be right, but if not, I'll gladly assist you.

Maybe i was not much accurate when describing Haki above but you're right, she's not a carbon-copy of BB-67, she has a lighter gun and bulkhead armour exchanged for superior speed, but belt and deck armour are rougly the same (with haki edging montana for deck armour, for the upper belt i do not make statements because i do not found a clear figure for Montana).

About the prefixes, i admit my ignorance (altough i should have known that, shame on me!) and kindly ask for your assistance when needed because i keep forgetting the things i check; seems like Japanese language won't come down easy on me despite all my efforts

Now, at this point i'm thinking that this thread has served its purpose and koko will deserve it's own thread, i will keep posting here in the meantime asking for suggestions about ships and Koko's archipelago itself while i work in the AU's history.

To begin with, that's how koko is supposed to look:

13 islands, 12 of them named, the names are the real ones of the seamounts of the Emperor Chain, Koko island itself could come out a little bigger in her definitive form.

And this is a tentative, and gross, idea for a flag:

The images shows the profile of Mount Yashima (the archipelago's highest volcano, situated on Koko island) that stands out above the ocean; the first is the draft for the post-WWII flag in it's uncomplete form, i'm thinking about putting the kanji for Koko on both sides of the mountain or something else that i'm still not sure about; the other two are for the period (roughly 1870's-1949) when Koko was a semi-indipendent nation controlled by the Japanese Empire, i should take both or the one that looks better.

I would suggest against adding a Kanji to the flag. A flag needs to be relatively simple(there is some article lying around somewhere off-site which takes up the topic of designing a flag, but I can't remember where), and Kanjis are something much less than simple.
I prefer the far right one of the other two options, btw. It looks good when the Rising Sun is slightly offset to the left like that.

Then i'll drop the middle one, after all it was the "dirtiest" one with that blurred rising sun; i still see the post-war flag a little uncomplete tough, even after shelving the kanji idea.
