I shall do the flag outlining thingy. I have added some details to the armored cruiser, hence dubbed Mjölnir. I have to add hull number, ship name and rigging. Lots, and lots of rigging.

I see where you got your inspiration! Your CA looks pretty smart, although I fail to understand The too evenly spread portholes, just atop of each other. Now, if you really had the Northamptons as your inspiration, look then at its distribution of those portholes. Also, if you study this class further, you'll notice it carries up to five different sized motorboats;personnel boats, utility boats, cutters. Yours have none. As for your light cruiser I'm troubled, again with the static, almost toyish-looking distribution of portholes. It just doesn't look real. There's also some unused space for additional bridge structures forward that you've missed. As for aircraft: no aircraft for your CA? Let me guess your CA is commissioned around 1930. An omission of a full complement of aircraft would've gotten any naval designer fired. Now, you don't necessarily need a hangar. It's desirable, but not necessary;the French CAs of the period did just fine without. Some, like the Italian Zaras had a complex catapult/hangar arrangement, in this case on their focs'le. One final thing: I don't see any conning tower. This armored structure can be, either integrated with the bridge structure proper, such as the Northamptons were, or they can be free standing structures, forward, usually on level with Compass Deck, such as the French and German cruisers had it. Oh and hull number? Well, that's your choice, but such things were virtually unknown on any ships types larger than destroyers during that period. It looks a tad anomalous to me. Hull number or pendant number only became widely introduced by the USN during the latter half of WW2.

Bez, that CL was for his other AU. The picture was just an example on how the gun mount looked.

Oh, I see, my bad then! But I suppose my remarks on the CA still can stand?

Yup, they don't seem too insane.

The Kraken and the Mjölnir has been finished.

I think they look really pretty now.
The aft tripod on the Mjölnir class looks a bit unsupported though. I would suggest adding some supports between the legs.
The flag is very nice as well.

I think it`s time for some WWI stuff. Here`s the Sleipnir class battleship as it appeared in 1916:

Displacement: 33,500 tons standard, 36,000 tons fully laden.
Length: 193,3 meters o/a, 193,7 meters between pp.
Beam: 30 meters.
Draught: 9,6 meters.
Speed: 22,5-23 knots.
Range: 10,000 km at 10 knots.
Propulsion: 20 boilers, 4 steam turbines, 60,000 shp, 4 shafts.
Arnament: 5x2 15"/45 Mk 2, 14 6"/50 Mk 3, 12 3"/40 Mk 2, 4x533mm torpedo tubes.
Armor: Belt: 8-13 inches, conning tower: 15 inches, deck: 4-5 inches, turrets: 5-16 inches.



Here`s a wip of the successor to the Sleipnir class. Deisgned in the summer of 1918. It has 16 inch guns, the first battleship to use triple guns and turreted secondaries. I am planning to have three designs of varying sizes with four dual 16 inch guns, triple 16 inch guns, all casemate secondaries, all turreted secondaries and a mix of casemates and turrets, very much like the Omaha class.

Even if they are useless most battleships had them anyway.
