After the battle of Jutland the RSwN stopped all destroyer and torpedoboat construction for 4 months to make an analysis of the action. The result was the revolutionary new T-type destroyer, though similar to the most modern US and RN destroyers in size they are actually more similar to the 1930s superdestroyers in mission and fighting power. escially their lare torpedo battery could make any opposing admiral tremble....
They made good long service over world war 2 but where slowly overshadowed by more modern types of destroyers in the 1920s and 30s.
