Anyhow, this is one off that HD that was very nearly finished, another DD class, from 1943, the Eugene Class.

Dawg, Zephyr! That's one Hell of a good-looking bucket! It almost warrants the much sexier name "Eugenie" instead! Besides, with that ship's sex-appeal, it's a more fitting name!

Nice looking ship but I wouldn't want to be the poor sod who has to crew the aft searchlight when in the direct line of the funnel exhaust.

For some reason, the ship gives me a Japanese feel.

Well, the captain is rather partial to sushi.

That, and I used the Akizuki class as inspiration for it.

Quite a nice ship, and I agree on that it has a Japanese feel to it. My only thought would be that I think there are a bit too many port holes.

I'd delete all the portholes in the hull from the aft edge of the bridge structure to just in front of the aft director. That's were your machinery is so they would serve little purpose there. The ones abeam of the funnels would be especially useless since they'll be looking into the back side of the boilers.
