APDAF I'm a newb in drawing as well and I honestly see at least in my opinion that u have improved
U have taken steps of improvement
Just keep on taking them and don't stop and the sky's the limit
Even if u disagree with people advice seriously consider and try it
I honestly would love to see u try a real design just to hone your skills
Or maybe one of the beginner base drawing eswube made like I am
They may not fit your interests but they may help
Considering your designs it seems like dreadnaughts pre dreds
And battle cruisers are your favorites so why not try one and include it for your au
If this is bad advice other members say so as I don't have much of a right as someone with one posted kit bash to try to supply advice but i hope it's at least a bit helpful
Er what?

I guess the problem is is that this is involving concepts that are just flying over your head. I'm going to say we've tried every time to simplify them, so I join bezo in his frustration, but I'm gonna try yet again anyway.

- make the masts the same height. You can even do the math yourself - even if one mast falls over forward it's not going to obstruct the other. Besides what if the taller mast falls onto the shorter one? You have the same problem anyway, or at least 50% of it.

- the armor belt - the big box on the hull - needs to be made thinner.

- use the parts sheet anchors. The ones you have are cartoony as heck.

- add some platform details to your large dreadnaught.

- look at some early battlecruisers and their superstructure details for your small one.

That's a start.

Why does the armoured belt need to be thinner? It looks thicker than it is because it is blended to the hull so the hull is not slab sided.

And the anchors are the ones from Jabba's HMS Dreadnought drawing (more or less) only I put a cover over them.

And Dreadnought herself had masts that are of a different hight, well only one was a true mast but still they are of a different hight.

-armor belt: maybe more than thinner it soud be shorter, it goes so deep below the waterline at full thickness even where the torpedo bulkheads shoud be

-maybe turning the anchors grey and removing the cover would make them look less cartoonish

-in that case you need to make the foremast bigger and more like a real tripod, and in turn lower a bit the aft one; right now your mast are basically identical to each other, the foremast is taller just because sits on top of the front superstructure

Becouse right now it's about 90cm thick according to calculations, more than DOUBLE(!!!) the bloody thickness of the world's thickest armor belt in history; The Yamato's, at 41cm, and that was 35 years later! Also, your explanation does not really sound sensible.
It's also way to high, at almost eight meters, something only seen on late generation British super dreadnoughts, like KGV and Vanguard.

Note that the following is written in a much more reasonably tone than the earlier part of this post:
APDAF, I would like to ask you to follow our advice, just to see how it works out. Then post it here, so that we (including you) can compare the differances. You do not need to make this the "official" version, but could you please try for once, who knows: You might even think it feels better! :)
