@KimWerner, the Brits had some version of the bellow deck system of the 5". some had the magazine just bellow the gun other had them why down in the hull.

But the main reason I posted her is that I have done some changes on the look of the gun itself. The barrel can change between the old one or that I haw drawn but the gun housing is a bit different.

:o Oh, I see it now. Because of the below deck parts I didn't look at the guns at all
A little bit of up-date work. Don't expect any changes before I'm complete with the last details on HMS Black Prince 1946 edition though. ;)

heuhen, can you post that new 5.25 on the RN Weapons sheet thread so I can add it to a forthcoming update.

Kim, nice additions.

The two versions of the 5.25" gun mounting were one for cruisers (only the Dido class and Bellona sub-class) and the second version was for King George V class battleships. The battleship version was a short trunk version with shell and magazine combined under the mounting. The cruiser version was a long trunk with the shell room on one deck. The battleship Vanguard had a modified "short trunk" mounting which had RPC (remote power control) and the gun housing was slightly larger. This resulted in higher training and elevating speed of the guns. The Bellona class cruisers also had RPC for their turrets, but the gun house was still the smaller one

@ Thanks PB and bon voyage :D

Funny how things some times develop. Original I've had this idea to draw all three PNS Babur which have served in the Pakistanian Navy. Naturally starting with the first, the former HMS Diadem. To reach this goal had resulting in three drawings (1 x HMS Diadem & 2 x HMS Black Prince) before I finally completed her. May I present:

P.S. The other three are now updated and I consider them as finished. I owe a thanks to HeuHen for the updating of the Mk. I gun :D
