Same passion, but all on computer/hard drive.
With the main objective to reach by late 2011 at least 100 000 warships pictures (with a maximum in High resolution) + 10 000 warships side-line view's + hundreds of coastal/oceanic carthography map & so.

I know a french guy/fan with +/- 67 000 pictures/postcards of nearly all warships of the world in dozens of "filing cabinets" and hundreds of warships books. All her photos/books fill a whole large room !

I might be interested in seeing some of those oceanographic/cartography maps of yours, Colombamike. I am trying to create an oceanographic map for North Point, but I can't find any good examples to work from.

That worries me; I mean how we now store just about everything on computers. If we had a massive solar flare (as a possible event in the future), we'd loose everything; but then, we'd all be using steam engines and wind/muscle power again, so it wouldn't matter anyway. I keep meaning to print off all my drawings to show around the campfire

So, never print any? Um, I think I will, and no guilt trip - I get several forests of high-gloss junk mail each month. All it would take is for a major crash, loosing back-up etc; and besides, nothing compares to the printed page.

One thing you don't get with digital imagery is that wonderful aroma of old books, aircraft, cars etc.
