This is a design i just started and to me it is looking pretty good to me...
All I need is some help deciding radar on the top of the bridge. If you think i should cover up the radar's in a casing please give me a correct one to use that will fit the correct radar for the vessel.

Also I would like to know if the sonar bulge is to big?

you need more help on that :P
good to see my old underwater hull back xD
you are going to have some topweight issues
I see nothing for the propulsion. funnels, intakes, etc
why those heightened up platforms on bow and stern?
the gun won't fit that far forward
what's its role? air defence? escort? ASW? ASuW? you have to decide that before toying with weapons, radars and structures.

To you questions:
-Yes it does look lot like your hull in your AU :P
-Please explain how i can fix the top-weight issues
-Your correct I will need to add the funnels but i should wait
because of the answer above this^
-I wanted to add more space on the bottom for fuel/storage/ammo/crew/freshwater
-If the gun wont fit should I lengthen that spot or just put something else there?
-Its role will be a frigate that will be Air Defence and escort for larger ships

Once you can answer these for me I will start tweaking the ship to your answers
Thank you

first of all: some examples of ships with similar size and role, from real design, never build or AU.
http://www.shipbucket.com/images.php?di ... EN%202.png
https://dl.dropbox.com/u/63276563/UFN/D ... Kazama.png

http://dl.dropbox.com/u/63276563/FFG-60 ... 0Perry.png
http://www.shipbucket.com/images.php?di ... Halsey.gif

you will note a few things.
- the gun is not at the edge of the bow. this is because that is an bad place for overcoming seas, is hard to reinforce for the gun blast, and is not very spacious. also, the forward 10-15 should be the fore peak, an space that has no personnel inside it normally.
- top weight is something delicate. with some experience, you can say something about it by just looking at it, I myself can estimate based on some calculations, but for you it is just to keep in mind that the center of gravity has to be somewhere halfway in the hull. the engines, weapons, tanks and radars are the main weights on an ship, and with these you can estimate where the CoG would be. for the weight of the structure, take a look at the size of the structure of the reference ships above
-see in all the designs I showed that the funnels have an rather important place. after the hull is defined, the powerplant is the first to be placed, and the funnels and intakes directly after that. so add them as early as possible

hope this helps :)

So to fix the gun should I extend the hull or push some of the missile space back to make more width room and leave some front room on the hull?
But I see what you mean by the weight distribution, but... I cant see the problem with it in my vessel, then engine is sorta in the back and the radar and main weight of everything will be in the center. I cant see how it could be unstable?

engine room should be about amidships, or at 2/3's from the bow.
you have no problem with longitudinal stability, but with transverse stability, the famous 'would float bottom up' problem. that radar antenna is huge. any radar antenna is huge. most frigates are powered by gas turbines, which are rather light.
ship designs are always an ballance of how high you can mount your radars (radar horizon) and how many guns and missiles. from the weapons, with the missile silo's (or an VLS system, as that is mostly called on ships) that high in your hull, your CoG will be about the height of your deck...... with all stabilty issues that come from that. the guns are even higher.... now you see, you need ballast in your hull to keep it upright. ballast that is unused space and weight on your limited displacement.

in short, for now: place everything as low as you can make it fit. to help you a bit:
viewtopic.php?f=16&t=2755
in this thread you can see what space systems need belowdeck. puzzle with them, try out...... I can give you this already: the mk 41 VLS is mostly mounted with it's bottom near the waterline.

Looks like Drop Box auto updates the pictures... Wonder if i can turn that off...

I lowered the missile platform and added the funnel

Sorry to say this, but that's not an optimal improvement. Now it looks like the top of the superstructure and funnel were melting. ;)
I guess that Acelanceloet will have more precise and exhaustive comments, but I'd like to suggest You something.

Think rather about something like that:

http://www.shipbucket.com/images.php?di ... erdahl.png

It has relatively low superstructure, only the heavy radar mast is elevated much higher.
In case of Your ship, I'd suggest doing something like that:

Alternative would be having a hangar under the landing pad, but I'm not sure if this hull is big enough for this.
But in this case where I suggested a hangar (on drawing), You could have another VLS (but no need to elevate it that much) and the main superstructure could start where it is now. (But then there could be not enough space for some sensors and antennas)

And the sonar bulge doesn't look too big for me.

Getting much better. :) But it was just a rough sketch, You weren't supposed to follow it pixel-by pixel ;)

Still, I have some comments:

[ img ]

Try to refine the shape of funnel and radar mast (for it, look on other warships with AEGIS).
As for the details of the equipment, Acelanceloet (for example) could give You much better advice than me.

EDIT: and "repair" the scale line on top of the picture: numer "50" got partially erased at some point.
