Here's another update. Progress is slow due to several different distractions. But I found a few new sources on several details and had to rework the forward superstructure almost entirely  . In other news: I hate my life :D .

Since noone had a comment, I continued as I saw fit. Here's the finished result:

You give him (IIRC german naval vessels are males?) fine respect. I like your work with the badge but in this case you shouldn't have a shield frame around. The prussian eagle is partly around the three shields and SMS Königsberg's "Wappen" is more a Coat of Arms than a badge ;)

That may have been the case with the older Imperial ships, but in case of the K--class Königsberg, a shield was added around the crest.
Wikipedia has a picture of the of the bow shield in its article:

The shield is also visible in this old photo here:

A wonderful rendition of a unfortunate cruiser. However, I do have observation to share with you, and only because te overall result is so amazing: check the lines of the aft underwater hull, where it flows forward from the flat stern towards the keel line. There seem to be some ungainly undulation, especially just forward of the shaft base protrusion, which unnecessarily spoils an otherwards excellent end product.

Between the 2 back main guns, the stairs look a little bulky. Anyway to clean that up a little?
