My first try on a ship, and a really tough one.
The Pigeon class submarine rescue ship, in service with the United States Navy from 1973 to 1995.

I just started yesterday, so there is still a lot to do.

I already have one question. If I use Colosseum's DSRV, do I have to credit him, or is it considered part of the part sheets?

edit: minor update

No comments yet? I guess that's good, isn't it?

Some more minor updates. As the New Kids once sang: Step by step. :)

I'm just affraid of the anchors and the crane system. That really will take time.

So far it looks ok, so I guess it's why there were no comments (and bit perhaps because of this thread-locking issue ;) ).
Looking forward to see it done. :)

Looking good so far - I can't see any glaring problems and the drawing quality is very promising. I look forward to the finished product :)

Thanks for the positve feedbacks. Makes me forget the headaches I have while trying to do the crane system.

BTW has anybody an Idea how I should draw the hydraulics?

[ img ]

If I make the thin part three pixels wide, the big one will be five pixels. If I make the big one three pixels wide, the thin one will be a single black line. I'm a bit unsure.
I'm affraid, five pixels will make it to big for the drawing.

Looks good, and don't forget to check pictures for details.

And I might consider a 2-4 split. Yes, it generates a double black line, but if you shade on side that might not happen.

That seemed to be a good idea. I made it that way and recently finished the hydraulics.

I am not sure about the right position of them on the booms, so I made three version.

I prefer the first one where you can distinguish between hydraulic and boom. But in that case the system is placed higher than in reality.
So what do you guys think.

I like #3, but then again, I'm not exactly an authority on these things. I generally just go with what looks best.
