-SNIP- comments?
acelanceloet, I'll get back to you on the APAR shape. I've got to get back to work, coffee break is over. Let it be know however that I'm in favor of slightly embellishing a tiny detail rather than plonking down a single line. It's shipbucket after all, we can't work to-scale. If something looks better if you enhance it, I'm all for it. It's what's known as artistic liscense.
true. (and I have to get back to school) but I want the APAR to be the best, which hasn't to be changed again for new ships. I think we have almost reached that point, only the plates should be a bit better, then it is perfect.
btw, Miho, do you like to participate in the dutch parts sheet for more? I am trying to do all planes, but for the other stuff all help is needed :D a lot is still missing.

Ofcourse mr alter ego. Who ignores rules and pictures and start screaming on forgotten point i accepted. While your flaws you dont.
And still you dont accept my knows and pictures while i accept yours.
Stop your ego and get back to teamwork. Instead of using ignorance foryour ego.

This is for sb, not for miho's good status.

I want to go teamwork togheter with no hard feelings.
But MR mihoshik didnt answer my stuff in PM, and also my excuses from last time he didnt reply to.
He also refused to look at my correct facts and went his own road.
This is Ego tripping, and also i picked up my bad sections, and replaced them.
He refused to, and started pooping on my face instead.
So Face the truth and act normal.
Make the best out of this, instead of implenting your own stuff that is not true.

No Miho made them red, and bright yellow.
They are dark brown, with gold brownish letters (Just off gold), He refuses to use those because his old OWN ones are in favor (Ego)

Miho:Actually, it does. Light shines on it from above = lighter. Light doesn't shine on it from above = darker. I mean, that's the whole reason we shade the lower parts of the hull dark, to give a feeling of overhang.

Me:why below the bridge then dark? (As he did before)

''4.Whip antennes are not black, they are grey (on the hangar)
I'll keep em.'' (Ego)

This is because he made them, and he refuses to make them like real life. Even with proven facts and picture's.

Plus i have been there and saw the shape of the hull, its quite like what i did (Exept the start of the shafts)

''10.Apar plates are same colour as the housing.
with shading, yes.''

I said many times, same color. They dont need shading, also according SB rules.

Plus demon he ignored the fact you showed about Sb style doors.
Colloseum said once we should use those and no others(also to me).
He refused to listen.
Ego?

Here it comes:

Ace, your apar plates should be the one picked.

But do whatever you want, and make this ship Updatable again.
I dont mind because i quit on this project(On this board). Making a ship with a person like this is not possible.
And also saying stuff.
Last time i was there, last time for you whas probaly 2 years ago.
Did you knew the navy changes every day?
Did you knew the 20mm's where trown out because it was to expensive?

Old name plate is perfectly fine for what I’s supposed to do. Be a representation of something. I mean, it’s not like our colors often don’t exactly match the original, right? It REALLY chafes you if someone doesn’t automatically think something of yours is better.

The APAR. Holy fuck, you can’t even bother reading the forum anymore, can you? I already told Ace that I’d work with him on another set.

Where? The only portions dark there are the windowsettings and the part underneath the ledge, which is permanently in the shade.

Yeah, quite like the way you’ve seen those Satcom supports, and that cannon, and that crane, and those vents on the hangar, and that aft hole near the waterline… You are HARDLY a reliable witness.

Ace and I are working on the APAR set. Well, as sooon as I finish answering your ass.

Oh, he did? Pity it’s not a RULE. You know, those things we have on top of the forum. Oh, wait, nothing there about doors…
Plus as far as Demon’s post goes, I’ve got my hands full just answering your stuff. Seeing as how that door apparently has a window indeed, I’ll get ot it. As soon as that APAR is finished.

Here it comes:

Crane: Done. (oops, you didn’t look carefully at that pic, right? That crane is already resting on that ledge.)
Aft antennas: Answered. When dirty they get dark grey to black. And seen their location, they get dirty often.
APAR: Working on it with Ace.
SMART-L stand: You DO know there is such a thing as… A SHADOW? It’s what’s falling over part of that stand, causing it to be DARKER.
That harpoon bridge… Hey, it’s partially obscuring the harpoon exhaust gate, JUST LIKE IN THE ABOVE DRAWING.
The Sonar bulb… Yours is too square… The attachment to the hull needs work on mine, but yours is too blocky…
Those three lights… Ooooh boy… Here we get to see just how reliable your personal observations are….
Port side:
http://marineschepen.nl/marschepen/images/cd234-23.jpg
Hey, those three lights, plus the vents you drew originally!

Starboard side:
http://de.academic.ru/pictures/dewiki/7 ... n_2563.jpg
No three lights on the railing, different vents!
Whattayoufuckingknow! The port and starboard side are not mirror images of each other. Fucking AMAZING!
Mitch can’t tell the difference between the port and the starboard side of a LCF, even though he drives by em every day!

The only thing I’m gonna give you is that we need a midway point between the two sonars, and that aft hull needs more work.

You weren’t making it with me anyway. If you’d done that, you would not have had all those horrid mistakes on the models on the first page to begin with, because my superstructure was already close to perfection. You’re an egotrpper who works for the navy and STILL gets a lot of shit wrong.

What does that have to do with the price of tea in China?
They HAVE mounted those cannons, so it’s NOT wrong to put them there. All of my detailing was done with hi-res photos found on google, and I’’m making less egregrious mistakes than you! And you walk pas those ships every day. No, I’m not going to make you forget that.

And now I'm going back to that APAR.

No more of this nonsense. Mitch just caused his last problem, and he will NOT be returning to Shipbucket any time soon if I have anything to say about it.

Hm, one thing actually impossible to do is the fact that there is ever so slightly more room above and below the bulb than to the sides... Unless we exaggerate slightly.

What would you think of this:

[ img ]

Bit of hyperdetailing, but it captures every detail of that mount as closely as possible. And yes, Dutch mounts are the same, it's just usually impossible to make out the seams and other stuff on pictures.

that looks great....... but not entirely like the real APAR. some parts are a bit oversized.
[ img ]
few other comments:
plates on the side could better be drawn like the way I did on my new version. this way, the large black areas are avoided.
the plate on the center is too big. again, use the one I drew as an base..... and then it becomes almost the same as the one I drew on this version.
for the lines in the mid part: I already stated I want an grey line over there, because there is no real edge over there, but an angled surface. this might be discussed now, though.
and last but not least: remove the shading on the round part. it is not rounded or stick out enough to make that right.

EDIT: btw, I'd like to use your drawing as an MK2 apar for my AU ships, though. may I?.....

How about this one. I've replaced the black on the side views with dark grey, but left the single light grey points to denote a bit of distance:
[ img ]

It gives a bit of the tilted feel of this picture:
http://de.academic.ru/pictures/dewiki/7 ... n_2518.jpg

Looky here, it actually looks pretty much in-shape when on top of the tower (provisional placement, of course):
[ img ]

As for the use of the APAR, yeah, sure, go ahead. Although I have to say, for a BIG APAR you simply make the entire center plate balloon out, like this:

[ img ]
Because the entire facing can become an emitter, instead of only the circular part in the middle. There is growth room in the design.

And yes, it balloons out, because that is actually a pressurised balloon. I've seen a picture somewhere with one of those bulbs partially deflated, looked really funky.
