Todays upload is with special dedication for WhyMe, both for kind words and for his drawing of Wróbel 23mm AAA gun. :)

Below is patrol craft of the Project 918 (NATO code: Pilica). Five of these ships entered service in the Polish Coast Guard between 1973 and 1976.

At that point the production order was switched to an improved (and quite succesful) design: 918M submarine chaser, eleven of which were built between 1976 and 1983.

Initially all of these vessels served in the Coast Guard, but after the reorganization of Polish defence/security establishment after the fall of "communism", submarine chasers ended in the Navy. "918"s served until 2011 (although first of them were decommissioned already in 1999), while the Navy's "918M"s left active service between 2005 and 2006.

By the way - throughout this thread I'm casually using terms "Navy" and "Coast Guard" like if they were totally different and separate entities. In reality, their mutual relation was more complicated. Perhaps I will elaborate more on it sometime later.

With dedication to Portsmouth Bill, who already made a drawing of this class (albeit long time ago and flying the Soviet flag) that now could be found in the main archive.

Eight large submarine chasers of the Bolshoi Okhotnik (BO) type, or project 122bis (NATO: Kronshtadt) entered service in the Polish Navy between 1955 and 1957. They served until 1970 and 1972, when they were replaced by the Polish-built 912M chasers.

Nice eswube :D I reckon you've made a definitive version, better than my earlier one. If you'd like to do the full range that would be good.

Thank You Guys! :)

Portsmouth Bill - if by "full range" You mean adding also 122a and 1st variant of 122bis, then this is doable, although it will take some time. ;)

Hey, it would be great if you could have submitted these to the ongoing uploading session.

Actually, my intention was to wait with submitting for upload until this thread will be more-or-less complete. Majority of work is already done. Because I think that I will not be able to do the newest additions to the Coast Guard (due to scarcity of good resources) for a time being, it leaves only Osa missile boat, Wisła torpedo boat, Tarantul corvette, Orkan missile boat and Kaper patrol ship to do (plus perhaps one or two older patrol launches). Also, I want to apply an uniform set of colours/shades to all of them, so I'll have to "repaint" them before uploading.

Your designs are excellent just so you know before you draw the Tarantul, Osa, and Orkan they are already drawn and in the archive
you could redraw them but it will only replace these if your drawing is deemed better IIRC

I know they are. So is Wisła torpedo boat (Pr.664, to be precise). So was Pr.122 (Kronshtadt). But I want to do them.
