I have started to redraw all the swedish cruisers - from 1896 - at least the Gotland 1934.
We start with torpedo-gunboat/ torpedo cruiser Psilander of the Örnen class. Psilander was built in 1899, is 72,9m, 814tons, 72,9m, 2x12cm m/96 guns, 4x 57mm m/1889B, 1x 38cm torpedotube. 14-19mm of armour.

She is named after a 18th centrury captain (later admiral), who was famous for making a stand against 8 RN frigates. The battle occured because he refused to strike colours to salute queen Anne, before the english frigates had struck colours to salute the swedish king.

I keep saying this, but heck, just look at the quality of these designs and see what to aspire to :)

Here we go again...

I made her just inte the beginning o time here at ShipsBucket HERE. So I thought it was time to remake her. She is one of favourite warships, not especially good at anything, a jack of all trades master of non that served the Royal swedish Navy well between 1934 and 1960,

Her Bofors 152mm L55 M/34 guns still carries the navy's gunnery record of covering fire at a range of 34km.The aircrafts where British Hawker Ospreys, in Sweden called S9.

She started out as the flagship of the recconisance flottilla and as a cadet training shipe replaceing the old armoured cruiser HMS Fylgia in that role. During ww2 she spotted the KM Bismarck and Prinz Eugen sneaking out in the Atlantic.

In 1942 her aircraft where obsolete and replaced by Bofors 40/46 L60 guns.
She returned to training role after the war and continuesly modernized. In her final configuration of 1955 she got airserach radar, fighter direction capabilites aswell as enlarged staff facilities.

All the details where a real pain, epscially on around the 75mm M28 AA guns (grand dad of the German FLAK 88) and the bridge structure.
