That reminds me of the time one of the American Battleships got stuck in a sand bar on it's sea trials. I want to say the USS Missouri, but correct me if I'm wrong. IIRC it took them almost 1 month to get it out, aand they had to manually offload all the ammo and fuel to get it light enough to be pulled out by several tugs. I do know for sure that the Captain was relieved of his duty.
