Not bad, what scale you use for Valkyrie ?

About Void Shield ... this is a rare piece of tech, almost archeotech in many parts of Imperium. They need a powerful plasma reactors and that tech is also rare, even mighty Argo Nauticals don't have that kind of shielding. I think Imperial ships are rather similar to designs pre-WWI with biger in size and with lots of gothic art on it.

EDIT: part of Flesh and Iron

From those frothing waves rose the towering might of an Imperial Argo-Nautical, a warship of distant Persepia. From its forward-jutting ram prow to its stern, the Nautical was a vast floating gun battery. The solid, blue-grey sheets of its hull towered over the water like a fortress, sloping up on an incline towards the deck. The Argo-Nautical dominated the ocean, eclipsing the horizon as it drew astern with an offshore platform. Its sheer bulk made the support girders of the platform appear frail and dwarfed even the Vulture gunships roosting on the landing pad.

Interesting. If it were void shielded it might make sense to put all the eggs in one enormous basket like that, but if they can't make them for any water craft then it seems more sensible to distribute stuff more like we do today.

As for the Valkyrie, I stretched it a bit because it seemed kind of small. This one's about 19.5m long IIRC, at SB scale, when technically it should be 18.5m.

Imperium is always in big things. Big tanks, Big ships, Big airships ... in our "modern" view there is not much sens in Baneblade or Stromlord super heavy tanks. But they are bulid to last, intimidate and ride with heavy firepower to overrun everything. The same thing is with Imperial ships ... they dominate, If you fight hordes of orks you don't need fleet of "modern" destroyers ... you need something like Argo Nautical, something with such level of firepower it can level whole islands with it guns and sends wave after wave of fighters and bombers.

You just need to think realy BIG! ;)

Oh god, lol. I saw your castle the other day and had to collect my jaw from the floor.

I think I'll see where that Gothic Fleet artwork takes me with these small ships first, then I'll think about doing something that size. xD
