Very nice :) My only critique (so far) is that four Walruses? :? No offence, but the way you've configured the midships you'd have problems getting two aboard. Maybe compare a Town or HMS Belfast to see how the hangar was arranged ;)

Very, very nice Rowdy. The detail on this vessel is amazing. I cannot fault it in any way.

Thanks everyone :)

Fixed now. For some reason I was thinking the KGV class had four so that is primarily where that number came from, but after doing some more research I agree that two would definitely be more realistic!

Yes, two would be the norm, on all cruisers and battleships. My other point was that by placing a dual 4.5-in mount either side of where the hangars should be situated you may be eating into that space. IIRC the usual set up would be have the hangars extended further into the beam, and having some light aa on top. Only a quibble, and this is a really nice drawing :)

My initial thought was to have the 4.5in platform extend almost to the deck edge, just leaving a small access way - something like this:

As you pointed out there wouldn't be quite enough room for the 4.5in so I adjusted the side view to reflect the platforms extending to the deck edge. Physically there should be enough space for this arrangement, but whether it is ergonomic is another matter entirely

Right. I can see what you're about from the updated drawing and the plan, which gives some idea of what you are intending. I've also had a quick decko at similar sized hulls, and I would think that the Renown conversion was about the closest in size to your project. All things being equal, I still think its no go for both twin hangars and outboard of them the twin 4.5-in mounts and magazines. That said its a bit academic, and its your call :)

My first thought was why not carry the hangar aft of the catapult? That'll give you more space to work with for both the hangar and the guns.

Hmm, yes that's a possibility. I'll have a tinker with it tomorrow and see how it comes out...

Right, hopefully this will be the solution to the problem :)

The Hanger is now aft of the catapult and the boats worked around to fit.
