I'm honestly wondering why you're using KGV's armament especially when you've got a reputation for good AU turrets.

Interesting :) But I'm not keen on the bridge arrangement; with the compass platform so low down and looking like its got a very restricted field of view; it would make more sense to have it higher up, where you've already got some light AA; and one reason for open platforms was to be able to spot incoming hostile aircraft and manouver accordingly.

It similar but not a copy of the KGV's armament.

1. and 2. spotting bridge layout, something Caledonia is testing.

your last ship is nice, but I have a couple of questions: why four nuclear reactors? One is more than enough; every nuclear powered vessel, to my knowledge has had only a maximum of two, but most commonly one such plant. Also with a crew of betwix 450-800 your ship will be what's called manpower intensive. Maybe you'd like to recalculate those figures?

@ bezo: size matters. this ship for example would need about 4-6 LWNP's, or one single huge plant
the nimitz, kirov,CDG, CGN's all have 2 reactors, but the enterprise has 8!
or better said: it is just based on what type of plant, and I would even say that one is unconventional.
also, california and virginia, both comparable ships to this one, have about 600 crew......

edit: I tried to be smart and go for two large, with two small one as a booster. but I see I need at lees 4 reactors for my use.

Then I go for 600 with a max crew of about 750

Heuhen, I think maybe you're a little mad, no? But I must say, you are also one of the best at original designs - I simply love your ideas :D
