ohhh now see i didn't now you had upgraded your FALs that changes things a bit and the rifle I was thinking of was the HK417 (btw are you FALs new build?)I'm gonna guess though that the HK will fit more into the SCAR category though.
Heh, going to pass on the HK-417 as well. It really doesn't do anything that a modernized FN can't. And yes, the FNs are still in production.
the bren gun while I admit it does have an elan to it , its a bit outdated in my opinion especially if its using 303. when the rest of your army is using 7.62 (the bren can be converted though and in this form it soldiered on into the 90s with the British Army and you can probably get away with still using it)
The Bren is a bit of a take-the-piss measure. Modern regular infantry squads deploy FN MAG LMGs. I imagine the Guard Force units still have Brens, both in .303 and 7.62mm.
and i hope my last sentence in my prior post didn't come off the wrong way there was no insult or anything intended with it (now that i read it again it may have sounded that way)
None taken, like I said I enjoy defending my ideas.
Colo, please tell me you have the Para Version of the FN-FAL drawn? Cause that would be purely awesome, as what I did with your original drawing was to "tacti-cool" it, but I agree, nothing beats a well built rifle over the plastech shit of today.
No, I haven't had the time to complete a Gunbucket scale accurate FN FAL yet and no para model either.
Colo, why do you still have the Fremantle Class? The Armidale Class is considerably better as a a successor!
The idea is that the country can't necessarily afford to immediately replace every ship as a newer one becomes available... this isn't NationStates after all.
At any rate the smaller patrol boats and missile ships are due for a massive overhaul anyway.
