I have two paintings here that I scanned and resized. They are from a very old book entitled Germany's Army and Navy of the 19th Century. I was just wondering if anyone could tell me what ships they were because the book doesn't mention it.

The first one says "Aegis", which was an Odin class CDS.

The ships in the second one are Brandenburg class battleships.

The other ship in the first picture looks vaguely like the S.M.S. König Wilhelm, an old sail ironclad converted to a 2nd-class Armored Cruiser in 1895. She had a broadside battery, and might have been the last all broadside armored cruiser in service.
