I do have some material on Japanese merchant vessels of the 1930's and would like it if you can provide me with more. As it is I'm looking for material concerning the Brazil Maru or Argentina Maru.

Excellent work on this thread, I'm enjoying seeing all these ships. Merchants add a bit of colour to the otherwise mainly Grey world of SB. Great work guys.

Japanese domestic ferries are exempted from certain rules, including the obligation to carry lifeboats. Once these vessels are sold abroad, one of the first changes made is the installation of lifeboats.
