And with that we have examples of the 5 post war US purpose-built liners (and the 5 ships that had significant passenger capabilities).

A fine addition to the Bucket.

SS Independence, SS Constitution, SS Santa Rosa, SS Santa Paula, and SS United States. While most of SS America's Service life was post war, she was built pre-war. That list also discounts ships that were either built as or partially built as troop transports in WW2. It also discounts SS Santa Magdalaena, SS Santa Mariana, SS Santa Maria, SS Santa Mercedes, and NS Savannah which were all built with passengers in mind, but were primarily cargo ships.

The above mentioned "Santa" ships were also done by me and Sailor82 did the NS Savannah.
Any way thank you all.

Excellent drawing of another lovely ship :D . Like motorcars, there was a period when merchant and warships looked interesting, and diverse - like this fine ship. Now they all either look the same or(with cruise ships) are essentially floating hotels of the worst type.

My thoughts exactly Bill.I can't tell one hatchback from another these days, a bit of a problem when you are trying to find your own motor in the carpark :?
Another very fine drawing from the Novice shipyard. ;) Keep 'em coming.
