Good point Tim. The problem (as I see it) is that I originally joined the old forum to post ship drawings that I'd produced; but now we've got the complications of moderating and dealing with infringements; the former I can handle, but for the latter we need some expertise. I wouldn't ask anyone to spend their (otherwise) leisure time in chasing asseholes who steal our work, but what is the answer? Either (as you say) hit every infringer,or get used to being a resource for everyone who wants to steal our work?

IMHO being a resource for ships profiles is part of the reason why this site exists. None the less our work should be credited, and any site who is publishing some of our work here, without crediting is akin to theft. I'm sure some countries, the USA and others, have laws for that.

That's from "The Last War". I may not post on HPCA any more, but I am still friends with Jan (or "Bernard" as he goes by now), and I'll talk to him about that.
Don't bother, it's a drawing I made for him, back when I still followed The Last War.

I never expected to see someone using our drawings and putting them on mugs. Really I don't know where this will end, if anywhere. We could spend years chasing these cases around.
It's eagle-eyed pure chance a member stumbled across that site. How many more sites are out there stealing our stuff we haven't visited yet and putting them on posters, mugs, keyrings and God knows what else?

Cripes! Even the BBC is doing it now!

Miho's old Type 42 admittedly but its obviously a SB drawing without credits (though to be fair at that scale they wouldn't show).

This is an important one to deal with.

I actually have words for him, and have been drafting a letter.
