Yes, they are historical parks, but this was about the Vicksburg quarter. None of those will be having coins issued for them.

I pray that Showboat will get the North Carolina Historical Park quarter. :D

Unfortunately (for us ship lovers), the NC quarter, scheduled for release in 2015, will be for the Blue Ridge Parkway. There may be another Naval themed one next year though, if they do the design right, as the Ohio quarter is going to be "Perry's Victory & International Peace Memorial". 2016 will see West Virginia have the Harpers Ferry National Historical Park (not naval, but could be interesting), and South Carolina will have Fort Moultrie/Fort Sumter National Monument (again, not naval, but I visited there last year, and it was surely interesting and fun), and 2019 Guam's will be for the War in the Pacific National Historical Park (Maybe, we can hope, it will have the Lady Lex, Washington, or Yorktown on it?). In 2021, the last quarter issued will be for Alabama and the Tuskeegee Airmen National Historic Site.

I live in the US, I collect currency as well, although believe it or not, I have yet to see any of the Territory or National Park quarters that have been released as of now.

Would any of these be of interest?
I think I have a couple lying around somewhere. They're worth about 3½ dollar.

Would I be greedy if I just said "Yes! All of the above!". Those are just too cool looking.

You would like one of the Ironclad quarters, then? There were also some of the State quarters which featured ships on them. No warships, but kinda nifty anyhow. I could get some of those for you as well, if you like.

I'll see what I can do.
Hmm, I think I've even got a few naval themed stamps to put on the envelope.
These to be specific:

Been looking hard, but haven't seen one yet.
Though it's not a long drive, I really don't feel like driving all the way to Vicksburg to get a quarter with a DamnYankee ironclad on it.
Now, had it been the Tennessee they put on there... I might consider that. ;)

You're kidding me.
Alabama's quarter is the 'Tuskegee Airman Historic Site'?
WE GOT THIS? What are they gonna put on it? Heck, here's a picture of the sight!!!
http://v6.cache5.c.bigcache.googleapis. ... 043052.jpg
That's really all that's left!
Of all the historic things in Alabama- from the time HERNANDO FRICKING DESOTO came walking through till they docked the Alabama alongside Pinto Island- they pick a single building in the only town Sam Walton ever PERSONALLY closed a Wal-Mart down because the employees were stealing too much?

What a sick joke.
I'm as proud of the Redtails as anyone else in Alabama... but, c'mon, guys.
Enough with the guilt already.
