By doing what the Japanese did with the Fuso class, you can move the turrets to the centerline without moving the superstructure. What they did was shortening the barrels.

Or, I could just leave them where they are, which also has precedent, as this design is based off the German Helgoland, with the hull lengthened and superfiring turrets added fore and aft. ;)

I fully approve of your Kittings Class! Very stylish and racy! I'd continue the forward tripd all the way to the deck, and possibly delete one of the directors (the aft one) alternatively position it on the forward supestructure instead. Other than that, a beautiful creation!

Thanks! Always nice to hear I'm on the right track with something. A question, though. Why delete the aft director? I would think with six individual gun mounts having a second director would be a good thing, or that putting it on the forward superstructure would make that rather crowded? You're right about the tripod though. In fact, on an earlier version it did go all the way to the deck, then I did some work on the funnels, and forgot to re-extend it. oops. Didn't even notice that until you pointed it out. lol
