Well, take into account some measurements don't include the tail. What's needed is to draw the top view first using the wingspan as the key measurement, that way the length will be correct.

The wing looks really weird, not like it's swept, but like its curving backwards.

Ah, that would be due to the fact that the wingbox where the wings pivot was not drawn. :p
