Nice idea , indeed it would ben better to station it at the East Indies and/or in the caribbean. lt maybe could be bigger and indeed a hangar and more aircraft maybe up to 10 aircraft.

To reduce costs the lower part of the catapult was kept, with the flightdeck 'welded' over it. I think about
doing a top-view, to clear out some things.

I like this, a very interesting design concept for the Dutch Navy. Great backstory too and the ship looks about right, being different but well proportioned and being a proper cruiser when she needs to be.
Great for the DEI fleet.

Interesting....
But why not use the bofors 12cm/M/50 automatic guns which was bought by the RNLN for their destroyers...
I would also enlare the flight deck aft. I doubt there will enough deckspace unerneath the twin 57mm mounting, this gun neds a large magazine.

I would put both 6" guns forward for better arcs of fire and that they would not interfere with fligt operations.

^^^ That's exactly the layout I would have chosen.

It keeps the two business ends of the ship from too much extracurricular intermingling.

Nice to move the 6" turret forward.
But why not fit a hangar where you have the catapult and move the catapult aft...
