Yeah, nicely put. [/sarcasm] :x I'm part of that "rubbish", as are several others here, so lets watch who we are calling names and insulting. How about that for an idea?
No you're not. Oh I know you play nationstates, but NS rubbish carries a very specific meaning on this forum and rest asured that none of your designs fall under that header.

While I (as a staff member) appreciate your effort at crediting - the S1850M would be classed as a part, and does not need to be credited.
I thought that since it came from the part sheets nothing needed to be done in that respect?

Sorry, it's just that my only experience with nationstates and wikistates has been someone posting a vast monstrosity bristling with guns. I apologise.

Not sure about the front surface search radar's position and the CIWS
The front is the SAMPSON anti air radar - I'm also concerned about the position of the Kashtan-M. That's the good thing about using Phalanx II's I guess - they don't need the below deck cabin so I can bolt them on to sponsons jutting out from the side.

In any case, it seems that you chaps all pretty much uniformly would argue for Phalanx CIWS rather than a Kashtan-M?

to be specific: stuff like this
viewtopic.php?f=14&t=265
we all know there are quite a few people who make sense on nationstates, but most of it is just garbage, you have to admit that :P

I'm with Tim on the crediting issue, and also like to express my gratitude on your consideration, but use the part at will - it's free!

I'm really concerned about the CIWS issue - I just can't make up my mind between Kashtan-M or Phalanx II - I read that the latter was being replaced for a point defence missile rather than gun system

Well the former is much less plausible being a Russian system no matter how warm politics gets I don't see them being fitted on a vessel this British. If it was my design (and I wasn't using my AU parts) I'd probably go for a Oerlikon Millennium at either end of the superstructure (one over the bridge and one over the hangar)

There's a whole thread on what "NS rubbish" truly is in the Personal Designs board I believe.

View at your own risk ;)

Thanks for all the excellent suggestions and critiques, chaps! I've tried to work in most of what you have all suggested -

Unfortunately I am not very good at doing the minor details on the superstructure, so I used a few minor details from H.Heuser's beautiful "Fridtjof Nansen Class" - not an ideal situation but I hope it works out okay.

I was wondering if anyone has any Russian small arms machineguns I can use in shipbucket scale on the railings (I'm thinking of 4 x Kord 6P50 heavy machineguns (my micronational military uses Russian small arms)) - all I can find appear to be 50 cals...
