Thanks Timothy.

These are multi function ships but some of their roles include and are not limited to:

- support of inshore Army operations,
- humanitarian/disaster relief aid,
- border protection/interception of asylum seeking vessels, and
- personnel training.

Firstly, LEUT East, love your work.

As the LCM-8s are soon to be retired, any thoughts on using their replacement, the LCM-1E?

I’ve got some other questions too, if you don’t mind (thinking I my want to borrow this design for my AU)
What is the crew size?
What is the capacity for embarked forces, size and duration?
What is the load capacity? M1A1 (or is it too heavy), ASLAV’s, M113A3’s, Bushmasters, Unimog’s etc

Keep up the good work
:D

a Very interesting design; with the usual hallmarks of your work. While the earlier designs are (IMHO) easily comprehended in terms of mission, I am finding this one a bit more of a challenge. It may be that it seems too small for some roles, and too big for others? it may also have some overlap with your other designs; but all that apart I like the look of it :)

Personnel: 70 (8 officers and 62 permanent crew)
Embarked Personnel: Up to 500 soldiers
Embarked Vehicles: Up to 18 ASLAV or M113 (or mixture of both), 20 Bushmasters or Unimogs (or a mixture of both) and cargo.

And please feel free to use my designs.

Thinking of doing a Kiwi version of this vessel (possibly HMNZS Timaru). Any thoughts?
