Why would that result in a faster response time? That doesn't make any sense. Indeed, one of the purported advantages of the WM20 family was that they could illuminate faster than a non-collocated illuminator, as there would be no pointing misalignment.

For everyone else, and I'm sorry I didn't do a good job explaining. COSAG (COmbined Steam And Gas)uses a main steam system with gas turbines for a boost of power.

COGAS (COmbined Gas And Steam) uses the excess heat in the gas turbine exhaust to generate steam. This can radically improve efficiency at the cost of increased size and dramatically increased weight. COGAS is pushing it a bit tech wise, but it's not totally out of the realm of possibility.

@ nighthunter: a few questions:
- could you give some specs? wondering about it....
- what is the main radar?
- the hull might be a bit overloaded, as, from what I can see, it is basically an modified perry hull, right?
- the biggest question of all.... why U no use my new perry drawings as base?

Some small change on the position off the egg.

My only is that the helipad looks a bit constrained, I'm not sure I'd want to land that Lynx on a dark and stormy mid-atlantic night knowing there is a battery of Penguins and aerial masts right behind the landing spot.
