I think that this could find export market too. However, according to Wikipedia, the Westminster seemed to had small range, similar with the piston powered CH-37 Mohave.Perhars the Napier Eland was thirsty or it had limited fuel capacity.

That's great Darth!
One of the sad what-ifs. Given Westland's successes this could have been a winner.

Have you seen the plans for the twin-Eland powered Westminster, the rival to the Rotodyne and its military variant with clamshell rear door (a la Mi-8 Hip)? These are in the book Project Cancelled. With your permission I could modify the above to protray these variants too. Your fuselage is of course based on the temporary full-scale covering that was used over the framework of the basic prototype. Sigh, Rotodyne was cool but this was probably capable of much further development and probably the better choice.

No, only transport types really.
The gunship I can think of is the WG.10 when the Lynx was still evolving. There are pictures on the web and drawings. Try secretprojects.co.uk.

I always find it interesting the What if's not just the aircraft that didn't make it to production. But some of the aircraft that did and didn't get the orders or the backing to allow follow up orders or devlopment. Would we be looking at the A400m if Shorts had been given the orders and the backing to devlop the Belfast fully?

Yes we would, Belfast would now be quite old and it was never really a successful design anyway.
