This is a quick kitbash that I made as a little project. I figured that since there haven't been any real "official" pictures of the ship ever made that if anyone had it on their worklist that it would end up looking rather different anyway! I saw that the HMS Polyphemus had been drawn superbly in the Beginners' section recently, and that made me want to do this. It is basically a smashed-up Royal Sovereign class from the archive, with some above-water modifications such as a flying deck and slimming down of the ship overall, and a complete redraw of the ship below the waterline. I envisioned the ship only requiring one forward primary turret because if you're going to ram someone, you're likely running headlong into them!

The ship is based heavily on the Royal Sovereign Class picture by Darth Panda. It also has a few elements from the Canopus Class, as well as an underwater hull designed after the HMS Polyphemus.

Great boat. I really dig the ram bow. I have no idea how practical this thing would be at all, but it its a 10/10 on the cool scale.

Old litany ... SB standard template, fonts, and if this ship is heavily based on DP design first him in credits then you. And this will need to be moved in to the beginner forum I think.

I like that a lot - the ram looks positively vicious! I probably wouldn't even bother with the forward turret - maybe stick another one of those (6-inch?) secondaries there. Thinking about this overnight, I'd sort of decided on something like a cut-down Arrogant class protected cruiser, but with only two funnels and an extra couple of torpedo tubes as well as the big ram - but honestly I don't think it'd turn out looking much different from what you've done, just a bit smaller maybe.

The forward turret is necessary as the description of the ship in the book suggests heavy guns aboard.
I just feel bad for the poor torpedo men... because the first time that ship rams anything more substantial than a beer can, she'll stove in the tube!

The art is excellent, man- a beautiful ship!

I think that she would have an aft turret

Good drawing but lacking in SB standard, as mentioned above. Also out of the standard are the fonts and credits

My apologies for the template. The font was actually SB standard font, just widely spaced. I had to manually adjust is as Photoshop doesn't seem to have a spacing function for letters. I have corrected the credits. Thanks for the feedback everyone!
