After some feedback from someone with actual naval engineering knowledge, I've done some redesign:

Funnels reduced by one and the hull redesigned to realistically accommodate any machinery. This is now akin to a proto-fast battleship. And, I must say, I like the de-cluttered look.

Just some minor changes, shortened some things up since I don't need as much space with the theoretical machinery I'd have:

Been a while since I last posted here :p

A preview of what I've been working on:

EDIT: I felt dissatisfied with some things so I made some changes

The stern rises considerably on both, is there a reason?

Nope.

And this is the same ship, during 1922 and again during 1939.

...ahhh what the hell, this is something I've been working on since the summer. Yes it's still not finished yet but it's complete enough so that people get the general idea and could give some feedback in addition to figuring out exactly what the deal is with Flak Kruezer Prinzessin Hayleah (and I promise I'll have a non Disney-eqsue name for a ship soon)

Anyway, I'm gonna bet it's gonna take you a while to figure out what that deal is, exactly:

EDIT: BTW, something like this is gonna be the closest you're gonna get to a "traditional all-gun battleship" by this time period.
