That is true, although many of them were immediately decommissioned come the end of the war. The crews were mostly discharged due to surplus during a peacetime navy. Before 1950,the Independence class was decommissioned, all but a handful of escort carriers had also been decommissioned, along with the Enterprise, Saratoga and Ranger. The point is, unless Heuhen's carrier was built during a war, there might be a few too many for his Navy to use.

I'd shift the positions of the SPS-48 and SPS-49, and put the former on a lattice mast abaft the funnel; way away from the hot exhaust fumes!
YES SIR, WILL DO! (bowing and bang his head in to the desk!)

Also: your boat complement is, well, interesting to say the least. I'm not convinced it's the most practical though, and that applies to its general configuration on deck as well...
She is a ship late in here years. where she now longer can operate as a aircraft carrier. But is given a odd role as (depends on missions) Helicopter-carrier/personnel transport/ Large rescue vessel/repair ans submarine support vessel/ etc. she has many roles some she is god at but are very god at one area, and that is a part of the Space program, her task is to find and pick up satellites and other tings, but also help in search for historical vessels when she has noting else to do. That why she has an odd complement of boats, one boat for different missions (Instead of changing boats and equipment for every missions some takes time, she has most of it on here so she can do the preparation in dock faster.)

Otherwise a smart looking carrier!
Thanks! The drawing is how she looks late in here career.

heh, awesome Heuhen! I am glad the Midway took you interesteds to design this :D
I just love that bridge. It's looks soo warship.

The point is, unless Heuhen's carrier was built during a war, there might be a few too many for his Navy to use. During WW2 Haram had about 50 carrier of different types. After the War, Haram reduced that number to be 20 large Aircraft carriers. Because Haram's Navy was concerned about that other nation could use the time after the War as a opportunity to ... The other reason is that Haram's land area is a pretty rough terrain where it is difficult to build large airports, but also because Haram is such a big country, with many populated islands. Haram found it easier to build Aircraft carrier operates in different areas than for example to blow up half of a mountain. The bonus with this solution is that you get a mobile airport for fighters, who can always turn to the weather while a stationary airport will be limited to the weather.

Oh. I'm trying to rewrite history to Haram, so that it fit into an AU world, with the various important events that have happened in reality is with us. The only difference is that one must build Haram into this world, and that the earth is larger in this AU than in the real world.

I could see for me Haram could be placed up in North with many small and large Islands.

I can imagine that Haram is located in proximity of one of the poles. with many small and large islands stretching in a kind of spiral / pyramid-shaped line to the North or South.

Just remember this world is bigger, so big that it have a place for a super power (that is a super power, but will not use it's power. unless you do something stupid!) Haram IS you're friend, but if you are an ass....

something like an haram spruance, right?
I would suspect an seaking on the ASW version, and maybe also ASROC. right now your ASW version is kinda AAW oriented :P
