Not bad, not bad at all :) Apart from the colour  And yes, the famous 'Pink Lady', but you might want to check the colour here, she seems more mauve than pink. On a quick look you've got a lot of black - as on the masts, which need changing, if you compare with similar ships on the archive. Also, while not a requirement, the drawings now being produced have a full hull, and you should be able to source that easily. There is also a general lack of the extra detail that you'll get from good photo's; but again, that is not a strict requirement; so overall a very commendable first serious drawing.

Not a bad start. I had planned to do the Colonies at some point but never got round to it. This looks fairly good but of course as you add more details it will look even better.

High praise from "old salts!" I'll work on the masts!

I believe this is a close match to the historical Mountbatten Pink - believe it or not this was not the pinkest ship in the Royal Navy!

Not a bad effort at all for your first try. As mentioned above the color is somewhat amiss. Look at the link in my previous post. I think the color there, while not exact to the Mountbatten Pink, it was the color it was based upon. You might consider adding details, and as previously said, I for one will love to see the ship fully with the underwater hull as well. I toyed with the idea of making HMS Gambia or HMS Bermuda some time in the distant future.
Not to detract from your effort I say again, well done.

You're right - it was slightly off!

Here is the new color.

Also I'm not sure a underwater hull would be good for this drawing because the colors would clash...

It still looks rather... lavender, to me.

This color was taken from a Royal Navy paint chip.

Let's forget about the pink/lavender issue, it was (after all) a short lived experiment that further helped cement Mountbatten's standing as a bit of an arse. I suggest doing a version in more suitable colours and include the lower hull. This one can still stand, and if you're not going to do another ship of the is class, someone else certainly will :)
