I'm working on something that has a coppered bottom and I was just wondering if having each individual copper plate conform with the ships shape is okay since all other works with individual copper plates have been linear and flat. Is there a SB standard on this?

Georgian actually to start with but she was afloat through the early Edwardian years and was serving through Victoria's reign

looks good to me, but take an good look at how the rudder is coppered, how the rudder post and hinges are laid out and make certain to which level the hull is coppered (for example, I am certain the rudder top is not)

also, can't wait to see this ship finished :D my latest try on an ship of the line failed miserably because of an scaling error......

I'm pretty certain about the location about hinges but as for the coppering on the rudder I believe your right in the fact is it probably goes just beneath/above the WL. Getting the details on these types of ships are hard aren't they?

with the hinged: the position is correct, but an hinge that is exactly in line was quite uncommon during that time... as yours are 3 pxls thick, I would think that one side is 1 pxl higher then the other to show that ;) and they are the hardest there are, I mean, the irene took me 3 months, while I normally draw ships in 3 weeks :P
