As far as I can tell, your skegs look alright to me. It certainly lends the ship a most unique profile! Its coming along handsomely, Hawkeye!

Here's the new update.
Thanks for your comments here and via pm.

I have used the new top views of the 3" L/70 gun turrets made by Heuhen
to get a first impression how it looks in the drawing.
The same with the 5" L/54. I have used his 33 pxl/66pxl version but with the barrels
of his 30pxl/58pxl version (are the same like the older versions) 'Cause there is
not enough space between the platforms for the longer barrels!!
And I have used the little feature under the barrels from Novice new drawings of the japanese destroyers.
I have changed the position of the AN/SPS-6C radome and the AN/SPN-12 CCA device on the aft 'Cause
there was no more space for the old positions after the 3" L/70 gun turrets are placed,
so the crows nest is growing a little bit.
I don't know why but the screws are looking smaller like before but I have used the same screws
like in the earlier drawings.
Greetings
-Michael-

The thing from novices drawing is a shell catcher and it was AFAIK never used in the USN.
Also, when the bridge is folded we shouldn't be able to see the recessed parts of it

Impressive Hawkeye :) I'm sort of growing to like this ship, maybe because you've done such a good job.

I'm just curious, but wouldn't there be jet blast deflectors behind the cats? Considering this is a post WWII design, I would understand if there weren't any on the original.

When this was envisioned, the only jets the Navy had were actually propeller planes with jet engines in them, so it would've predated the blast deflector a little bit.

I'm wholly with PB on this, once finished it'll going to have a place of honor of sorts in my Carrier folder!

I do not know how but you managed to get to a double black line at the 5in cannon (on each side of the cannon) but I must say I agree with the others.
