And Biancini I'm not sure what you mean, there's too much dark? I'm actually redoing the colors right now so I'll see what I can do.

You could turn it into a simple name plate one or two pixel thick, eliminating the perception that there is a gallery behind it

the dark isn't too much of an issue as long as the dark areas are distinguishable from the actual black

Well, I did want the gallery in the first place. Are they really badly detrimental to the ship? Or was that just one man's opinion that they are?

After almost 9 hours of solid work, I give you, my finished hull :D If H. Heuser would like me to not use his props that's cool, I can make new ones, but I've modified them quite a bit.

You put a lot of work in it, but for me it's looka like kitbashing one ship with parts from 1900 to 1950.

Thanks, in what way though? I'm having a very hard time not putting 40's and 50's things into this just because of how much those are ingrained in my thinking. I took a lot of my inspiration from the HMS Revenge (1916), with some of my detailing inspiration from the Haram Lord Marine' (1950ish?) but I tried to keep my inspiration from the Haram ship purely related to shading and fine details, not actual parts (Other than the props)

Haram Lord Mariné class was a study around 1930-40 of a ship that could outgun and sustain heavy fire.

Ah, well like I said, I tried to use it mostly for the fine details, like the flag poles and rivets. Your Superior was still my main base for shading. I just love your work lol.

Well, ship look pretty modern New Jersey style. But then you put a riveted armour plating and barbette guns.

Just to make sure, are you talking the whole ship? Or just the hull area? Everything above the hull can easily be changed if that's the problem.
