Does anyone know of a top view daring of the 40mm Boffin mounting? I saw the side view in the RN parts sheet, but no top view in sight. Or, Does anyone know of a picture of it? I can't find any straight up vertical photos of the gun mount anywhere.

Apparently the "Boffin" is a Bofors somehow shoehorned into a 20mm mount. I haven't found any more info though.

Your a gem Graham, and looking at it, I'd think its the bog-standard twin 20mm mount that's been adapted?

Yes Bill/ Bpffin was the standard twin power operated 20mm guns, and was adapted for a single 40mm gun. This was done to give all RN ships more hitting power for the Pacific theatre.
