Probably some pretty terrible things, as not a lot of modern warships can stand up to 6" shells...

An outstanding drawing, Ian! You really have done justice to GB. The only nitpick I've got is that you've got a naval jack at the fore peak, nothing wrong with that; but there's no ensign hoisted any where on the ship.

Well, this is the age of PCness we live in, and the media seems to think they know everything about everything and that wars should be fought with nerf swords and guns. :?

Damn! Any idea where the ensign should go? None of my references really showed the flag.

I know the difficulty there. I'd say, if you want to retain the jack, it should be hoisted at the fantail, but if you don't I can see spots in the aft rigging. Maybe should refer to USN cruiser pictures to get an answer? (Cannot do it myself, since Ian and I share the same time zone, so am writing this at work..)

Edit: studied the picture more closely and you can hoist an ensign on the foremast, beneath the radar platform. Of course you'll need to have halyards there to do that.

Alrighty. It shouldn't be a problem to run a halyard behind the foremast.

Ensign behind the foremast, jack on the fantail? And does anyone know where to find the Argentinian ensign?

Also curious about the helicopter camouflage, does it look correct?

Ehh... no jack at all then. She's going to appear as if at sea. (which in this case makes perfect sense; what I wonder, though, is, if the Argentinians let fly a larger ensign and if they used more than one. The picture of her sinking just doesn't tell...)
Other than that, I just love your drawing, my friend!
