The platform for the forward Mk38 Mod2 25mm gun looks like a unique addition to this Perry class frigate. Are there other Perrys with this setup?

edit Looks like USS Ingraham has it too.

I've seen several Perries with this settup.

I got a question about the Perry's.
A while ago the USS McInerney (FFG-8) was transferred to the Pakistani Navy. It said

''The 32-year old frigate will be given a US$65 million refurbishment including anti-submarine capability paid for with foreign military aid provided by the U.S. to friendly countries.''

Will this include a replacement for the removed SM-1 missiles? Maybe something like a Mk29 Sea Sparrow launcher or Harpoon canisters?

The OHPs in Foreign service retained their Mk-13 GMLS.

Yes I am aware of that, but the USS McInerney was transferred a few weeks ago, and with that she already had it's Mk13 removed. But I can't figure why a navy would buy a 30-year old ship that is now basically nothing more than an over sized patrol vessel.

IIRC the machinery for the Mk-13 was left in place as balast. All they would need to do is re-attach the launcher arm.

This is in line with my understanding. All they did is remove the above-decks components, and parts-kit the under decks fiddly bits as needed.

One does wonder, though, what anti-submarine refurbishment would entail. As I understand it, FFG-8 was long ago reworked as a long-hull.

That is interesting to hear. Maybe they can also go with the same update as the Australian and Turkish ships, which involves placing an Mk41 VLS and more advanced radar/fire controls. Does anyone know whether there are more ships planned to be transferred to the Pakistani Navy?

So far only two ships. The were orginally for Portugal, but when the order went to use (YEAR) they were handeled to Pakistan. Also The Pakistani Gouvernement ask the Dutch for buying the old Greek S-frigates, or later the last pare of M-frigates from the Royal Netherlands Navy, but it think the last won't happen quicly though.

When I saw last year the USS Klakring when visit Amsterdam, the arm-launcher was removed. the re-classifed here as FF, accourding the US sailors.
