The fore and aft superstructure doesn't seem to have the same deck height.
And remove all the 20mm guns for now. They are the last thing you should ad.

Actually there were instances where the deck heights did, indeed, differ, even from forward superstructure to aft, so I don't think it ought to be such a dramatic issue. A normal man, even a fairly tall one (which Spaniards seldom are, anyway!) can fit in either sections handsomely, so that'd be sufficient, in my mind.

I've added the ship's boats, which I took from ALVAMA 's Almirante Cervera and Gollivainen's Canarias. I also put a boom crane in which was taken from an early Repulse.

What about the QF 2pdr. in the C turret position?

Also regarding the 4.5 inch as secondary armament... I haven't changed that yet.

Thanks

I would elevate all of the 4.5" guns or none of them.
The current arrangement just kind of 'feels wrong.'

Coming along greatly. Crane looks very much right, but I still could 'cram' in several more boats...i guess it's just me wanting to have a decent boat complement. Since this is a CA, you can take advantage and study, too, how the British Counties stowed their boats. But we're getting there, and I do love the handsome lines of your cruiser!

Thanks for liking the design. I'm quite pleased with the way its developing thanks to the input from the forum. :)

I suppose I could shift the secondaries forward a bit to make room for more boats.

Well, my friend, you've got a whole unused space right above your TTs, for instance, so I don't foresee any particular difficulties in finding the necessary spaces!

Biancini, it's called critical weight and space considerations! Besides, Republican Spain would probably have faced serious obstacles in obtaining all the guns necessary for a class like this!

Thats a good point. Its quite likely that any new ship would be a bit of a mish mash due to the severe finacial situation of Republican Spain. Most of their equipment and finance came from Stalinist Russia.
