The sad part is how partisan they were playing the bill as being- but how everyone expected it to pass regardless... meaning that there was enough bipartisan interest amongst the Federals to cripple the Internet. This was no partisan power-play by a single party or special-interest group, this was a concerted effort on the part of the entire U.S. Government to hamstring the People and bring the Internet under government control.

Well in fairness megaupload was long known as a place to download pirated stuff. They really did have it coming to them. Still, the government taking it down the day after the Wiki blackout and whatnot strikes me as typical US Government "we own you" action.

At any rate, Anonymous basically took down the entire internet yesterday with DDoS attacks on justice.gov, whitehouse.giv, the RIAA, MPAA, Universal Music, BMI, etc. Good on them.
