Map, history from divergence point, a ship... stick with one ship to begin with, get critiques, perfect, then go on to another

Well, Biancini, I have the Lethal Skies II S-37 as you requested.

I have it with a blank paint scheme, the Lethal Skies II scheme, and in Brazilian Air Force colors. Included is a top view and side view with landing gear in the down position.

The G-9 Eclipse is a fighter aircraft from Just Cause 2

The NG-9B is a naval version, as requested by Biancini.

What's that protruding in front of the tail fins(s)? To me it looks like an air intake =S

That is actually a second or inner set of fins. I have no idea why for any reason the air frame would need extra fins other than that it looks cool in the eyes of the designer.

Man that thing is fugly. I can't see those extra tail surfaces helping much at all.

Pretty much. There's a reason why they're game designers and not aero engineers.

Frankly I don't understand the recent gaming trend of trying to have cool planes in everything when sticking in an F-16 will do just about as well - and I'm not even talking about flight sims, I'm talking freakin' first or third person shooters like the aforementioned Just Cause. Even Ace Combat, the game that started it all, moved away from this with Assault Horizon.

For the exact reason throughout your post, because it looks cool or unusual to people, thus forming a strong appeal to the designs.

Well with AC:AH, there is the ASF-X Shinden II operated under the USAF and Japan Air Self Defense Force, but that is strictly a downloadable content piece and isn't packaged into the main game as a special unlockable or as an enemy ace like in most of the older games in the series.
