There was a small one on the image on the last page. I don't really like doing top views despite people seemingly craving them.

No. Not for the foreseeable future. There are two catapults, two aircraft elevators and an ordnance elevator, angled deck ~10degrees offset. Use your imagination to fill in the blanks.

ETA:

One of the two V class cruisers currently working up. This one is being used for the moment as a test platform for new weapon systems that will inevtiably find their way onto both the cruisers as well as the under construction Block III Gemstones and Block III Metallurgical frigates

[ img ]

Brief run down of the crap on her at the moment. The rather boxy looking turret is trialling the installation of a twin 155mm turret with a palletized magazine system not that dissimilar to the BAE AGS? Next up are the missiles. Mica-VL is self explanatory then from right to left there are the three current variants of the LRSM stand off missile: INS/GPS, INS/GPS/CCD and INS/ARH. The two missiles following are the Kingfisher Mk.III AShM and it's land attack equivalent which features the same sensor setup as the INS/GPS/CCD LRSM.
Moving along there are the outlines (just squiggles to show they are on board when in reality they haven't been drawn yet) of two new SAM systems designed to supplant the standard series which rely on American exports. The rocket you see before the outlines is that of what will become a V-MLRS.
Moving along yet further we see a clumsily mounted turret not where it would be mounted operationally obviously. The turret contains two 35mm revolver cannons aft of that is the LFK-NG based missile CIWS. Hovering over the heli-pad there is what is going to be the next advancement of the mosquito project an unmanned EC145T2 compared to the EC120 previously used in the mosquito project and which was operationally fielded. Sitting on the heli-pad is and ISE Bell 412.

I apologize if the above is a bit cluttered but it's just a rough guide illustrate all the stuff on there.

Over the past couple of days I've been musing over a CRW/COIN/LIW aircraft more suited to the role than currently operated PC-9 and MB-339 trainers. What I have come up with is described below. I've been through a number of different configurations and settled upon this. Some of the other configurations considered were a Pucara style aircraft with fuselage mounted turbofans a la A-10. A twin boom affair with jets mounted over the wings with a stepped cockpit and a similar aircraft to the OV-1 with either turbofans or turboprops.

[ img ]

The aircraft designated Wodan/Wōden by the Atlantian Air Ministry completed IFT&E in December 2011 and has followed with several minor modifications to the design. The Atlantian government is expected to finalize an order for between 18 to 24 aircraft to equip 3-4 squadrons.
The aircraft itself is a two engined, twin boom, push/pull design with side by side seating for it's crew of two. Both crew members sit on Martin Baker Mk.16 zero-zero ejection seats. There are a total of thirteen hardpoints on the aircraft for a payload of 3000kg.

Preliminary Specifications:

Crew: 2
Length: 15.5m
Wingspan: 16m
Height: 3.65m
Empty Weight: 3600kg
Loaded Weight: 6000kg with 100% fuel and 500kg stores
Max. Take-off Weight: 8700kg
Useful Load: ~3900kg of stores and fuel
Powerplant: 2x Pratt & Whitney Canada PT-6A-67F turboprops @ 1250kW ea.
Fuel Capacity: 1900kg
Cruising Speed: 455km/h
Maximum Speed: 530km/h
Service Ceiling: 9159m
Range: 2000km
Combat Radius: 550km with 5 hours loitering time

Today's design... A replacement for the current fleet of Wikings, Tracer and Trader Juniors to achieve commonality between platforms. The Traders/Tracers will most likely go into storage being relatively new as well as some going to equip the Thisionian carriers noted on previous pages.

Old version

NEW Version

The design itself is a twin engined high winged aircraft similar in size to the C-1/-E2 and with for the most part the same sort of roles envisaged. The COD variant will be capable of hauling 30 personnel, 5000kg of cargo or a mixture of both. To maximize on being able to mix and match there are two under wing hardpoints inboard of the engine nacelles for external cargo pods.
The Maritime Patrol variant will replace with Wiking on carriers and will be mainly orientated towards the ASuW role rather than that of the ASW role they will however be fitted with ASW gear including a MAD boom in the tail, provision to deploy sonobuoys and ASW weapons including torpedos and depth charges. For the ASuW role the aircraft has four hardpoints for a variety of stores as well as the internal bomb bay capable of taking anything up-to two ASW torpedoes or similar sized stores. For both roles the aircraft is fitted with a comprehensive EO suite. The aircraft has a crew of two plus four mission specialists. As well as the AS/ASuW role the aircraft will perform plane guard/SAR duties further out than helicopters can venture from the ship.
The final variant is the AEW variant which is fitted with a large "canoe" on top of the fuselage similar to the Erieye system in operation with several nations worldwide. On the underside of the aircraft there is the same multi mode radar as found on the MP aircraft which is used for both surface search and radar mapping.
All variants are powered by Pratt & Whitney Canada PW127E turboprops @ 1790kW turning 8 blade props.

Not coloured up yet, pending some other stuff but otherwise finished.

ETA: Atlantian colours and revised tail.

Looks like someone grafted the nose of a Short Skyvan to a CN-235.

It started off looking more like a miniaturized Fokker 27 but I settled on this layout. That said I did draw it from my own head.

Cute little guy, but looks directionally unstable. You want a big tail, especially for carrier ops.

Hate to poke holes in the new one, but the tail looks too tall. Perhaps go to a twin vertical tail setup on the old size?
