From the pictures it seems the AA gun is a twin Mk.5 40mm gun mounting.

Thanks Novice. I was doubtfull if it still was the same as delivered in 1958-1960. So now that issue is cleared up :D

I'm nearly finished with indian Leopard Class as delivered (lack a few details around the lifeboat). But I have two questions:
1. Should I keep the rear antenna as I drew it on INS Brahmaputra though it's real across the vessel as shown on INS Betwa?
2. Would it not be better to show the 40 mm Mk5 with 45 degrees angle as it is shown on all pictures and ilustrated here on INS Betwa?

I got some ambivalence with the gun-direction-rule. It's evident that Mk5 can go horizontal but when you search on Bofors all Mk5 AA-guns is placed in 45 degree angle when they are unmanned! With my military experience it tells me that it is the neutral and locked position for the gun. In that case should it then be the proper position to show it the drawings in my opinion. I know we have had this discussion twice last year, so I call upon the admins to discuss it internally what should be most accurate ;)
BTW anyone have comments about the antenna issue?
Another isue: Anyone who have some close-ups photos of the MRS-8 fire control? I'm not satisfied with my drawing of it, but with the sources I've got I can't do it better (the MRS-8 is the thing between the aft canon and the Bofors Mk5)

You can use the one on Hood's RN weapons and Radar sheet.

Nice one Kim. :D IMO the radar looks better as drawn on Brahmaputra. As to the 40 mm Mk5 with 45 degrees angle I do believe it actually looks better on Betwa but don't think it would work on all ships fitted with that gun mount if that makes sense.Plus of course that discussion really is a minefield.I suppose the best thing to do would be keep it at 0 degree elevation for upload and do whatever you feel looks best for your own files. ;)

Thanks, but I don't know if I'm starred blind at it, because I can't find it there  :?:

Yeah, you're sure right. I'll keep the Brahmaputra settings for uploading ;)
