Looks like the transformers 2 rail gun :| Aaaaaand, the AMOS armed 4x4 doesn't seem very feasible at all imho.

You do know that Maneuvering Reentry Vehicles only maneuver enough to fix minor accuracy issues. The cross-range abilities are crap. By the time you add enough ΔV you've cut the warhead load quite a bit. I can also still kill the bus before you release the warheads

@Navybrat: 155mm

@Blackbuck: It's a Stealth Mount from one of Erik_T's designs that Colo found. As for the AMOS on the HMV, TiNS. :P

@TimothyC: V-2 puts the Bus into high orbit as it's a FOBS system. So to kill the Bus, you need big ASATs. As for V-1, it's basically a missile itself and can maneuver just enough throw off ABM missiles.

Also, can someone who draws SB scale Helicopters draw the first one in this:

I've tried my hand and I just can't get it to look right. :?

No. The only way that would work is if for the cost of one V-2, you could build and deploy 20 or so ICBMs. And your V-1s are going to cost a whole lot more than a similar payload RV. In short you can do that, it's just going to cost you so much that my fleet of 500 B-70Js, 300 KC-25s and 14 Ohio SSBN/SSGNs are going to be cheaper, and do the job better. As for ASAT, GBI does the job, for a whole lot less than the cost to build and deploy the V systems.

You're right, V-2 would be equal in cost of 20+ normal ICBMs. And yes, V-1 costs more than a normal RV. And no, it will not be more expensive than all those planes & boomers. But costs really don't matter in this, as there's only 3 of these systems. It's a last laugh weapon, only to be used if all else fails.

As for GBI, it's a Midcourse Defense ABM. That means it goes after the bus, and that bus will have sensors on it that will detect that EKV's approach and if need be, launch the V-1s to prevent them all from being destroyed.
