I'm having a hard time trying to draw anything with SB style. Can anyone help me with the guide ( Step by step )
I've take a look at the tutorial provided for the newbies but unfortunately, I can't still draw anything!

If you use MSPaint:
1 Firstly, find a good reference image, blueprints and linedrawings are the best and easiest to start with. Then you resize it.
2 Copy and paste into your drawing program. Using the line tool, find out how many pixels long it is. (if you look at the bottom right corner of your screen while drawing the line it will tell you how long it is.
3 Find out how long the actual ship was/is in feet.
4 Multiply this number by 2 (because SB scale is 2px=1ft).
5 Divide this number (the one you multiplied by 2) by the px length of your reference. This gives you a percent by which you can scale your reference image.
6 Go to the resize menu and type in this percent for both height and width. (Just remember that .82=82%.)
7 Begin tracing the general shape with the line or pencil tool. Keep in mind SB standards on curves, no pixels toutching side by side.
8 When finshed with this, begin on the detail work, doors, portholes, vents, ect.
9 Copy and paste things such as guns and lifeboats from the part sheets. It is a good idea to have the most up to date versions saved onto your PC.
10 Once the ship is pretty much finished, it's time to clean up those stray pixels every reference drawing seems to have. This is most easily done using the color bucket tool to turn the background a very distinguisable color. Most often these are neon pinks, purples, blues, greens, reds, and so forth.
11 Now use the eraser and line or pencil tools to color those pixels the same as the background.
12 Add color to your ship. there are a few palates floating around in parts for this. If you want to change everything that is one color to another, right click the color you want, then left click the color you want to change. Now use the eraser tool holding down the right mouse button. (This only works in MSPaint as far as I know)
13 Put it in a template. These are found in the thread "NEW TEMPLATES" in the General Disscussion forum.
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Keep in mind to use multiple sources for placement of details and other things. This redundancy ensures that you don't have to start over because you picked a bad drawing to use.
This is not the only way to draw. Many others on this site have other ways, but this is the most basic and easiest to follow. Some steps can be done out of order as well.
I am telling you this from my perspective, it is how I learned to draw. Others will likely tell you other methods, and you should take their advice too, especially senior and elite members, moderators and admins. Choose a method that works best for you.

Biggest thing: PRACTICE

I sucked hard at the beginning and I still can't get up to the quality of the best drawers but at least what I can draw is serviceable for uploading purposes. I got to that point through PRACTICE.

Biggest thing on how to PRACTICE: get good quality drawings on real ships to draw. Here's a list of unclaimed vessels that would really help to fill in critical gaps. If you can't find good drawings from a Google search, ask members or post a help request in the General or Resource forums.
