I figured, why scatter my drawings out around the forum, while other people have all of their drawings in one thread? I think it would be both easier for others to get an overview of the Prizyetsi navy (almost wrote "my navy") if it were all in one thread.

Welcome to the Prizyetsi navy "megathread", for lack of a better word...

(Map of the Darklands Region. Prizyetsa is marked in dark-green)

Prizyetsa is a nation in the fictional universe of the Darklands Region on Nation Sates. For centuries, Prizyetsa has prided itself in the strength of it's navy. This pride is rightfully so, as in the Belkar war, in the eighteenth century, the Prizyetsi fleet all but destroyed the opposing forces in what is now called the "Three Day Battle", in which the Prizyetsi navy sunk well over half of the enemy fleet while taking few cassualties itself.

In more modern times, the Prizyetsi navy has maintained its important role in the Prizyetsi military structure, as the navy commands all offensive forces in what is called the Naval Infantry Corps. Untill recently, the navy was also responsible for all logistical support, however due to the tediousness of naval transport, this role has now been passed on to the Prizyetsi Air Guard.

The Prizyetsi navy is structured into several fleets, each based in a different port city, and each with different strengths and weaknesses, however these weaknesses are covered by the other fleets. In total, there are 7 fleets, with an additional 9 submarine squadrons of 3-5 submarines, on of which is a SLBM capable squadron based in the far north district, which operate free from the command structure of the fleets, allowing for a degree of flexibility. This has proved to be an invalluable command structure, allowing the submarines to engage in comerce raiding and hunter-killer operations, while leaving the fleet to operate in other areas or theatres, or simply to spread the enemy forces out enough to employ a "divide and conquer" aproach.

Currently, there are a number of ship classes which are in service with the Prizyetsi navy.

Aircraft Carriers

Ilafson Class Carrier (to be replaced in the near future)

Destroyers
Muya I and II class destroyer (being phased out and replaced with the Yossotten class Destroyer)
Yossotten class destroyer (currently being integrated into the fleet)

Frigates
Onoy class frigate (in service)
Kalinn class frigate (in service, possibly to be replaced)

Support
Hålland class LDP (in service)
Maaki Class OPV (in service)
Ikara class minesweeper (in service)
Gerland class transport/tanker/replenisher (in development to replace current contractors)

The Yossotten class destroyer is the logical improvement on the aging Muya I and II class destroyers which were introduced in the mid 1970's. The Yossotten class is bigger, faster and better armed than the Muya family of ships, with additional range.

The Yossotten class destroyer is expected to replace the Muya family of ships by mid-2015 with a total of 30 vessels of the class. Rumours within the Ministry of Defence's naval department suggest that there will also e upgrade packages available for the Yossotten class as early as 2020 to improve the radars and anti-air capabilities.

sensor systems: the WM and the STIR make no sense, while you are lacking nav radars, coms and camera systems.
weapons: your ship is lacking in the AA missile department
destroyer: looks like frigate size and arnament to me.
also:
- why no torpedo tubes
- lacking both navigation and deck lights
- lacking ECM
- the bridge is awfully close to that VLS, while the view for the bridge is really bad

I did some snooping around the THALES website into the i-mast series, and I was wondiering is it wouldn't be better to just incorperate the i-mast 500 onto the ship. Opinions?

depends on the role. what do you want it to do?
the I mast cannot do long range AAW, nor is it very suitable for command due to the lack of long range serveilance.... but it most likely can guide ESSM and ASM's fine, SSM's can operate outside radar range and ASW targets only need sonar guidance....
